ARTG Information
Understanding the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and how it applies to the products we sell.
What is the ARTG?
The Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) is the official database of therapeutic goods that can be lawfully supplied in Australia. It is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), part of the Australian Government Department of Health. Most medicines, supplements and medical devices supplied in Australia must be included on the ARTG.
AUST L, AUST L(A) and AUST R
| Identifier | What it means |
|---|---|
| AUST L | Listed medicine — typically lower-risk products such as vitamins and supplements, assessed for safety and quality. |
| AUST L(A) | Assessed listed medicine — efficacy of certain claims has also been reviewed by the TGA. |
| AUST R | Registered medicine — higher-risk products evaluated for safety, quality and efficacy. |
The relevant identifier and number appear on the product label and packaging. Medical devices carry an ARTG inclusion number instead.
Our products
Where required, the therapeutic goods we supply are included on the ARTG. ARTG numbers for individual products are shown on the product packaging and, where applicable, on the product page. For reference: [ 517969,516927,515473 ].
How to verify a product
You can confirm any product's ARTG status yourself by searching its AUST L / AUST R / ARTG number on the public ARTG search at the TGA website, tga.gov.au.
Important advice
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Supplements may only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate. Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet. If symptoms persist, talk to your healthcare professional. Keep all products out of reach of children.
